Abstract
The main objective of this research was to analyze the potential of micellar-enhanced ultrafiltration (MEUF) process for investigation of the flux and removal of pollution indices of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total dissolved solids (TDS) from soft drink wastewater statistically. Response surface methodology (RSM) based on face centred composite (CCF) design was implemented to investigate the influence of surfactant concentration and transmembrane pressure (TMP) as independent variables. The equations were established to predict the target outputs using significant parameters. The significance of the models, main effect, interaction effect and quadratic order effect were statistically validated by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results show that the main factors effects were statistically significant for all responses. Also, normal probability plot of studentized residuals was depicted that the errors were normally distributed.
