Abstract

The least mean square (LMS) algorithm is widely used in acoustic noise cancellation (ANC). Impulsive noise is an important feature in the ANC application that have paid special attention, recently. Due to the poor performance of the LMS algorithm in the presence of impulsive and nonGaussian noise, maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) is utilized in this paper for ANC application to eliminate impulsive noise from speech signal. Simulation results indicates the superiority of the MCC algorithm in presence of impulsive noise in speech data.
