Title : ( Characterization of Lie Higher Derivations on C*-Algebras )

Let A be a C-algebra and Z(A) the center of A. A se- quence fLng1 n=0 of linear mappings on A with L0 = I, where I is the identity Σ mapping on A, is called a Lie higher derivation if Ln[x; y] = i+j=n[Lix;Ljy] for all x; y 2 A and all n ⩾ 0. We show that fLng1 n=0 is a Lie higher derivation if and only if there exist a higher derivation fDn : A ! Ag1 n=0 and a sequence of linear mappings fΔn : A ! Z(A)g1 n=0 such that Δ0 = 0, Δn([x; y]) = 0 and Ln = Dn + Δn for every x; y 2 A and all n 0.
