Quhistan has a pre-Islamic history, it was a vast land that began from Konar Habyban in Fars, stretches to Sistan, Khaf and Farah to the east, Neishaboor to the north and Kerman to the south. Despite the struggles and political conflicts in the region, dynasties proponent of science and knowledge, including dynasty of Simjor and and IsmailiShie cause scientists, poets and writers who had high rank and dignity in the region to grow and foster. Including Abo Bakr Quhistani the writer of Divan Muhammad Ghaznavi, Abolghasm Qhstanyv etc. Their writings have remained in the form of different types of poetry.
