Abstract

In this paper a novel fractal Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) is introduced which can be used as a bandpass filter in two frequencies and stop band in one frequency with wide bandwidth. In order to find the best result, a parametric study is carried out and using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method in conjunction with API Link as an interface between MATLAB and HFSS software, and structure parameters are optimized for best results. The simulation results show that with use of the optimization method, bandwidth is increased and best result for reflection coefficient is obtained.
