چکیده
Today, Proton beams are one of the effective tools in treatment of local tumors, such as prostate tumors. Here, using Monte Carlo MCNPX 2.6 code, voxel phantom of ICRP reference adult man irradiated by mono-energetic proton beams. The Bragg peaks of 100 to 125 MeV seat inside the prostate tissue. By fitting the computed values, the energy ranges and the number of pristine profiles that are necessary for producing a spread of Bragg peak (SOBP) have been evaluated by some special mathematical algorithms. To have a proper flat dose distribution along the target region, In accordance to standard deviation of distal edge region the distance between adjacent Bragg peaks set 1.6 mm
