Abstract

In the present paper, we generalized the characterizations of discrete lifetime distributions based on conditional doubly truncated mean and covariance which are related to the general failure rates, doubly truncated mean and doubly truncated variance of a lifetime random variable. In addition, we obtained the results for some general families and well-known distributions like, modified power series, Ord, Katz and Telescopic families.
