Abstract
Dipicolylaminoligand(DPA)isoneofthemostcommonlyemployedligandsinchemosensors,providingatridentateligandwiththreenitrogendonors,whichisselectivetoZn(II)[1].Theoreticalstudiesplayanimportantroleinthedesignandimprovementofthesetypesofbiosensors.Becauseoftheimportanceofthequantumchemistrydescriptorsindeterminingthesensorsefficiencies,wedescribehereinafluorescentchemosensorbyaphosphorylatedpeptidesurface.Thissensorconsistsofasequenceofaphosphorylatedpeptideandareceptor,bis(Zn-DPA)[2].TheoptimizedstructureofthiscomplexisshowninFigure1.Inordertostudytheabilityofthepeptideasasensor,NaturalBondOrbital(NBO)analysisforchargetransferinvestigationbetweenthepeptideandDPAhasbeenperformed.
