Abstract: Sample preparation techniques, such as solid-phase extraction (SPE) is one of the modern analytical techniques which it is necessary in order to obtain meaningful results as the basis for determining the content of trace amounts of analytes extract.Recently, great interest was aroused in the use of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in SPE. These materials exhibit high selectivity, and, in small amounts, can provide high recovery of analytes, even from large-volume samples. In this study, magnetic multiwalled carbon nanosphere and polypyrrole were fabricated by a simple method and applied to magneticsolid-phase extraction (MSPE) method coupled with gas chromatography proposed for the determination of polycyclic aromatichydrocarbons (PAHs) in the environmental water samples.The main factors affecting the extraction efficiency including the amount of the sorbents, desorption conditions, extraction time, salt concentration and sample solution pH were investigated and optimized.Under the optimum conditions, good linearity was obtained within the range of 0‒0ng mL–1 for all analytes, with correlation coefficients ranging from 0.0 to 0.0. The method detection limits (S/N=3) were in the range of 0–0ng mL–1 and the limits of quantification (S/N=10) were 0–0. ng mL–1. Repeatability of the method was assessed through five consecutive extractions of independently prepared solutions at concentrations of 0, 0, and 0 ng mL–1 of the compounds .Keywords: Magnetic solid-phase extraction;Carbon nanospheres; Polypyrrole;Gas chromatography; Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
