Abstract
Process capability indices are used to evaluate the performance of the manufacturing process. When the specification limits and the target value are not precise, the authors can not use thet raditional methods to assess the capability of the process. For the processes with asymmetric tolerance intervals, some fuzzy process capability indices have been introduced suc has C"pk-tilda and C"pmk-tilda. In some cases, these indices may fail to account the process performance. To over come the problem with them, the authors propose two new fuzzy indices in the case that the specification limits and the target value are fuzzy while the data are crisp. Also, the author spresent an application example to demonstrate effectiveness and performance of the proposed indices.
