چکیده

Introduction: Tellurium nanoparticles due to unique properties encompass multiple applications in various fields including medicine. The aim of this study was to evaluate resistance to telluride potassium salt and investigate the potential of some of the salt-loving archaea, marine bacteria and luminescent bacteria for tellurium nanoparticles biosynthesis. Materials and Methods: for the biosynthesis of Tellurium nanoparticles by intracellular method, after the bacterial growth in the SWC medium, 1 mM of potassium Telluride salt was added to the tube containing the bacteria. In the extracellular synthesis method, growth cultures were centrifuged and 1 mM salts was added to the supernatant and biomass, separately, and were kept in incubators and at the end the tellurium nanoparticles presence were investigated. Purified nanoparticles were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, XRD, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (TEM). Results and Discussion: Among the investigated bacterial strains most salt-loving archaea and bacteria at concentrations above 1 mM potassium telluride showed a high sensitivity as the changes in the concentration from 0. 1 to 3 mM had no effect on the biosynthesis of intracellular and extracellular nanoparticles by these bacteria. Although luminescent bacterium of VLC could not produce tellurium nanoparticle intracellularly ,however, by extracellular method in a concentration of 5 mM telluride potassium, tellurium nanoparticles biosynthesis was observed as color of medium changed. The purified tellurium nanoparticles had maximum absorption spectrum of 235 nm. Also the results of FT-IR confirmed the presence of different functional groups on the surface of the nanoparticles
