Introduction: Ticks are blood sucking ectoparasite that play an important role in transmitting important pathogens to animal and human throughout the world. Anaplasma is one of the most important tick-born diseases that causes Anaplasmosis in animal and human beings. The genus Anaplasma includes A. marginalae, A. centralae, A. phacytophilum, A. bovis, A. ovis, A. platys. Aim: The aim of the present study is to determine of Anaplasma infection in hard ticks were collected from sheep and goats in Savadkooh, Mazandaran. Material and methods: The tick samples were collected from the whole body of a total 122 grazing sheep and goats (86 sheep and 36 goats) from Savad-kooh in Mazandaran province. Ticks were counted and separately preserved in 70% ethanol. Adult male ticks were identified under a stereomicroscope, according to the identification keys. Salivary glands of the ticks were dissected, and DNA was extracted. PCR was performed using specific primers containing hyper variable region of 16srRNA gene. Finally, sequencing of PCR-Product was taken in Sanger method. Anaplasma infection in ticks infestating sheep and goat grazed in savadkooh, Mazandaran Results: 16srRNA gene was detected in ticks including Rh.sanguineous, Rh.bursa, Haem.punctata, Haem.inermis, D.marginatus, Rh.turanicus, Hy.detritum, I.ricinus. Sequencing of Rh.sanguineous, Rh.bursa, Haem.punctata , D.marginatus showed 99% identity to A.bovis. Discussion: Like this study, the role of Rh. sanguineous, Rh. bursa, Rh.turanicus, D.marginatus, Hy.detritum and I.ricinus has identified by others. There isn′t any report about Haem.punctata, Haem. Concina and Haem. inermis as a vector of Anaplasma and this is the first around this. A.bovis was detected for the first time in Haem.punctata in the world.
