Abstract
Carbon materials have regarded promising materials for hydrogen storage because of lightweight, acceptable affinity of carbon to the hydrogen, high specific surface area and several other reasons. We can find a lot of different carbon materials studied extensively like activated carbons (AC) graphene sheets (GS), carbon nanotubes (CNTs)and other derivative carbon materials which made up by theoretical and experimental methods like G-C3N4, graphyne, carbon nano layer and etc. These materials modified by other additional ingredients like free metals, metal oxides, alloys to improve the hydrogen storage capacity. In this short review article, we attempt to introduce new reliable and complete and categorized data for researchers and engineers to familiarize briefly especially last five years’ articles (2013-2017 March) related to the hydrogen storage.
