Abstract
The design and synthesis of coordination compounds focuse on the creation of molecular motif with desired applications in which organic bulding blocks as ligands have an important role in the formation of network articheture. In this regard, different synthetic conditions by tuning of reaction factors such as temperature, pH, solvent and ratio of the reagents can also be effective factors on the final coordination networks. In this work, two new Cu(II) complexes containing the N-(furan-2-ylmethyl)2-pyrazinecarboxamide flexible ligand (L) were prepared in the same condition with the different ratio of the reactants (metal to ligand ratio 1:1 for compound (I) and 1:2 for compound (II)). Obviously, the powder samples of title complexes have the different colours. These compounds characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The carbonyl stereching bands were observed at the different wavenumbers for two complexes. In addition, the elemental analysis data indicated to the molar ratio 1:1 and 1:2 of metal to ligand for compounds I and II, respectively, in accordance with the ratio of reactants.
