Abstract
A generalized Jordan derivation on a Banach algebra A is a linear mapping which approximately satisfies the Leibniz's rule with respect to the Jordan product. We show that if $A$ is a semisimple Banach algebra then every Jordan derivation on A is automatically continuous.
