Abstract
In order to study the effect of application of organic and biological fertilizers on yield and yield components of Salvia leriifolia Benth., A factorial field experiment was carried out based on a randomized complete block design with three replications and 10 treatments. The xperiment was performed at Khorasan-e-Razavi Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education center during 2015 and 2016. The treatments consisted of five levels of organic fertilizers [control (C0), compost 10 tons ha-1 (C10) compost 20 tons ha-1 (C20), vermicompost three tons ha-1 (V3) and vermicompost six tons ha-1 (V6)] and Pseudomonas putida biofertilizer in two levels [Inoculation (S1) and without inoculation (S0). The results in the first growth season indicated that organic fertilizers had a significant effect on the number of green leaves, leaf area index (LAI) and leaf dry weight (LDW), but the inoculation of P. putida and its interaction with organic fertilizers were not significant. In the second season, all vegetative and reproductive traits were significantly affected by different levels of organic fertilizers, but P. putida were effective on LAI, number and green leaf dry weight and biological yield (BY). The highest LDW (1470 kg ha-1), LAI (0.99), number of flowering stems plant-1 (4) and biological yield (2558 kg ha-1) was obtained in C20S1, which increased by 47, 46, 60 and 53%, compared to C0S0, respectively. There was no significant difference between C10S1 and V6S1 treatments (except BY). However, V6S1 treatment resulted in a significant increase in LDW and, consequently, BY compared with V6S0. Results also showed that the highest flowering percentage (57.3%), number of seeds m-2 (129.6) and seed yield (79 Kg ha-1) were obtained in C20S1 treatment which was increased more than twice compared with control.
