Abstract
The authors would like to thank Khalili Shayan, Aminpour, Peysokhan, and Bayrami for their profound study on flow properties over pivot weirs (overshot gates) and for their comments. The authors also are thankful to Di Stefano, Ferro, and Bijankhan for their careful analysis of this work with the popular applicable self-similarity theory. Here, the authors consider the comments in the order they appeared in the first discussion by Khalili Shayan et al. and then investigate the accuracy of developed discharge relations.
