Abstract

A porous poly -ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene- -ECTFE- hollow fiber membrane with a high performance were prepared using HALAR® ECTFE 901 and different diluents diethyl phthalate -DEP- and glycerol triacetate -GTA-. When the ECTFE concentration increased from 20 to 30 wt%, the water permeability sharply decreased from 1112 to 5 Lm-2h-1atm-1 and from 1250 to 1.0 Lm-2h-1atm for DEP and GTA, respectively.
