چکیده

Today Due to the general application of silver nanoparticles in industry and medicine, this substance is considered as an emerging pollutant. Because of the antibacterial properties of silver, it is expected that this substance will affect the soil microbial population after entering into the soil. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of silver nanoparticle on soil enzyme activity. This experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement with three replications in incubation conditions. The experimental treatments included 5 levels of silver (5.0, 5, 10, 50, 100 mg kg -1 soil) and four time periods (7, 14, 28 and 42 days). The results showed that the effect of silver nanoparticle application on the activity of dehydrogenase and urease enzymes was significant (p > 0.001). By increasing the nano-silver level, the activity of dehydrogenase and urease enzymes was significantly decreased. The lowest enzyme activity was observed in the treatment of 100 mg kg-1nano-silver and the highest in the control treatment. The results showed that in all treatments, urease enzyme activity increased all the time, while the activity of the dehydrogenase enzyme was reduced. The results of this study showed that silver nanoparticles can negatively affect the enzymes involved in the nitrogen and carbon cycle.
