Abstract

Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran*Correspondence: Asoodeh@um.ac.irAbstractBacterial esterasesare the enzymes with tremendous demand due to their potential industrial applications & stability. In this study, isolated and purification of the esterase enzyme from bacteria in the salty water of bazangan lake will be addressed. The bacteria producing esterase were selected and characterization of esterase was studied.The extracellular extract was concentrated using ammonium sulfate, and the active enzyme was purified by Q-sepharose ion exchange chromatography.The enzyme activity was reached to 200 U/ml after 48 h incubation in culture medium. The enzyme was quite stable in diffrent temperature. the optimum esterase activity with p-NPB was at 40 оC and pH 8.
