Abstract
With a convenient surfactant-assisted sol-gel technique, we can assert that single-phase Pseudowollastonite (PWS) nanoparticles are synthesized at low temperature for the first time. Synthesized powders have been characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis and transmission electron microscopy. Effect of calcination temperature on crystallite size and lattice strain is studied from XRD data. Results indicate that single-phase PWS nanoparticles were successfully synthesized at 775 °C by the surfactant-assisted sol-gel method and increasing calcination temperature causes the rise of crystallite size and lattice strain.
