PHL-C is one of dwarf sweet cherry rootstocks which is a hybrid between P.avium L. × P.cerasus L. and is recommended for high density plantation of the commercial orchards. In this study was the effect of different media and plant growth regulators for proliferation and rooting of PHL-C rootstock were investigated in Khorasan Razavi Agriculture and Natural Resources Research and Education Center. For proliferation, three culture media (MS, DKW, WPM) and four concentrations of BAP (0.0, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 mgL-1), and for rooting, six culture media (solid and double phase of MS, DKW, WPM) supplemented with four concentrations of IBA (0, 1, 1.5 and 2 mgL-1) were applied. Results showed that the highest multiplication rate was observed in MS + 1 BAP mgL-1. The highest quality of plantlet was observed in DKW medium. MS supplemented with 1.5 and 2 mgL-1 IBA proved to be superior to other treatments in terms of root number and length.
