Abstract

‎Redundant is used to improve the reliability of a given system and to ensure that it is available to fulfil its duty during a mission time‎. ‎This paper proposes an algorithmic approach for solving RAPs when component lifetimes are either independent and heterogeneous under a general setting‎. ‎Two common active and standby schemes for allocations‎, ‎are considered‎. ‎Moreover‎, ‎a new stochastic order is proposed and applied for comparison purposes‎. ‎Various illustrative examples are also analysed‎. ‎This method can be implemented for engineering system networks‎.
