For a long time now, due to the cost-effectiveness and few side effects of medicinal plants, special attention has been paid to them. Rosa Damscena is one of the most important species of the Rosaceae family. The application of Rosa Damscena powder on the gums and its chewing gum causes the gums to be rehabilitated and the bleeding gums to stop. Washing wounds and skin lesions with a decoction of red mud reduces swelling and regenerates wounds. Therefore, in this regard, the question of this study was to investigate the effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa Damscena in the coagulation process, which has been assumed for it according to the sources of coagulation effects. In a 21-day period, the effect of concentrations of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 mg / kg of hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa Damscena in seven replications on blood coagulation parameters of prothrombin (PT) , relative thromboplastin time (APPT) And coagulation time (CT) on one-month-old male mice were evaluated and the results were analyzed by Tstudent test. Concentration of 250 mg / kg of Rosa Damscena extract significantly reduced prothrombin time (p <0.05) and had the best performance among all treatments. In measuring thromboplastin time, all concentrations used in the hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa Damscena showed a significant decrease (p <0.05) compared to the control, in which concentrations of 100 and 250 mg / kg of Rosa Damscena extract were significantly reduced. Compared to other treatments, it caused more coagulation time. The results of this study show the coagulation effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa Damscena, which confirms the research hypothesis and the positive effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa Damscena on the improvement of coagulation processes mediated by proteins and plasma coagulation factors. The use of Rosa Damscena extract for the treatment of coagulation disorders caused by defects in the function of coagulation proteins can be further investigated and can be given more attention for the optimal clinical application of Rosa Damscena and in conducting additional research in this field.
