Abstract

In this work, we study a quasi-linear parabolic equation with a weak-viscoelastic term of the form A(t)jutjm????2ut + 2u ???? (t)(g 2u) = jujp????2u; in a bounded domain in Rn where m; p 2 and A(t) is a bounded and positive denite matrix. By using the perturbed energy functional technique, we establish global existence and a general decay result, which depends on the behavior of both and g.
