Abstract
In this paper, we consider a weak viscoelastic equation with acoustic boundary conditions and logarithmic nonlinearity in the presence of frictional damping. We prove, for a suitably chosen initial data, a global existence as well as a general decay result. Our work improves and extends earlier results by Liu (Z Angew Math Phys, 2014, https://doi.org/10.1007/s00033-013-0328-y).
