he aim of this study was to compare social support in women with active and passive AIDS. This study was causalcomparative. The case study samples in this research were formed from 61 Women with AIDS (31 passive female and 30 active female) among women covered at Behavioral Disease Center of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran that were selected as purposive sampling. For this purpose was used Sherburne & Stewart’s questionnaire of social support. The results showed that In social support and its components, there are no significant differences between active and passive’s women and both groups (active and passive) has low social support. According these results, planning for cultural education should be done in this regard. Undoubted this planning will be effective in preventing the spread of HIV infection in the society.
