Abstract
Chromium (Cr) ion is one of the most common and dangerous metal pollutants in the environment, which is widely used in various industries. In this study, the composite consisting of melamine-based COF and ZIF-8 was synthesized via the mechanochemical method. Then, the performance of melamine-based COF and ZIF-8 and the resulting composite was evaluated to remove Cr(VI) from an aqueous solution with a concentration of 100 ppm. The results showed that the prepared composite performs higher in Cr(VI) adsorption compared to melamine-based COF and ZIF-8 in mild conditions.
