Abstract

Introduction One of the problems that affects people\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s quality of life is the lack of sufficient physical activity. Inactivity can cause obesity and weight gain in children, followed by depression, anxiety, and emotional disorders caused by shame about body type and composition. In addition, physical inactivity can lead to diseases, disabilities and deformities. The goal of our study is to investigate the effect of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training on functional movement screen of inactive girls 8 to 12 years old. Methods The present study was a quasi-experimental and applied research with one experimental group and one control group. In this research, 30 healthy inactive girls aged 8 to 12 years with a body mass index higher than 15 and lower than 18 participated and were randomly assigned to two groups of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training and control group. The experimental group performed exercises 3 times a week for 8 weeks. To evaluate the quality of functional movements, functional movement screening test was used. The evaluations were done at the beginning of the research, and at the after eight weeks. The data were analyzed through repeated measures analysis of variance at a significance level of P<0.05 by using SPSS27. Results The results of the present study showed that there is significant difference between pre-test and post-test after eight weeks of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training on the functional movement screen (P<0.05). Also, the results showed that there is a significant difference between eight weeks of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training and lack of practice in control group on the functional movement screen (P<0.05). Conclusion Based on the results of this research, it can be stated dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training have a significant effect on improving functional movement screen in a period of eight weeks. This study presents an eight-weeks training protocol with the aim of improving the physical factors and returning the optimal movement patterns of inactive girls, by using diverse and fun dynamic neuromuscular stabilization training
