The solitary rugose corals of Sardar Formation, in the Ozbak Kuh Mountains (Northern part of Tabas block) has introduced in this study. This corals were found in two horizons in middle part of Sardar Fm., in the Zaladu II and Cheshmeh-Shir stratigraphic sections. In this study, 5 species belonging to 3 genera of solitary rugose corals were identified as follows: Dibunophyllum pseudoturbinatum pseudoturbinatum Stuckenberg, 1904; Dibunophyllum cf. reductum Fedorowski, 1971; Dibunophyllum sp.; Koninckophyllum cf. protocolonicum Fedorowski, 1971; Gangamophyllum sp. The genus of Gangamophyllum is described from Iran for the first time. It represents essentially a cosmopolitan Mississippian-type coral fauna but its age, as determined by foraminifers, is late Serpukhovian-middle Bashkirian (Early Pennsylvanian). The coral assemblage is similar to those corals recorded from Tindouf Basin (S. Morocco), Ellesmere Island, Arctic Canada and Novaya Zemlya, Arctic Russia. The faunal similarities between the South West of Paleotethys’s corals association with coeval biota in the Arctic could be due to continuity of tropical warm water conditions in the northern hemisphere and connection with south western of paleotethys ocean during the Namurian.
