Abstract

Styrene/acrylate LIPNs with core-shell structure were synthesized through three different shell-feeding methods, which included direct monomer, pre-emulsion and pre-swelling feeding. The stability, particle size and mechanical properties of the samples were investigated using zeta potential, DLS and mechanical analysis. Experimental results demonstrated that the pre-swelling method produced samples with the smallest particle size, specifically with a diameter of 110 nm, and the greatest stability, characterized by a zeta potential of -56.21 mV.
