Abstract
A phenomenological continuum damage theory was used to predict creep behavior of the superplastic Pb- Sn-Sb alloy. All parameters of the theory have been obtained using tensile tests, carried out at two different strain rates. The estimated uniaxial flow curves correlate well with those obtained experimentally. These predicted flow curves were used for predicting constant load creep curves. This was achieved through numerically solving an implicit first order ordinary differential equation using the considered continuum theory. Reasonable agreement was obtained between estimated and experimental creep data. It was shown that constant load creep curves of the studied material can be estimated by only two tensile tests performed at different engineering strain rates which are fast and much easier than conducting creep tests
