This study investigates the influential factors on the hydraulic jump diameter in fluid jet impingement. With the continuous advancement of microprocessor performance and increased heat generation, effective cooling methods have become essential. One widely used technique is jet impingement cooling, where a high-speed fluid stream from a nozzle impacts a target surface to enhance heat dissipation. This research focuses on key parameters such as nozzle diameter and Reynolds number. Experiments were conducted using three nozzle diameters (2.5 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm) and three Reynolds numbers (800, 1100 and 1400) with distilled water and a 25% ethylene glycol solution. The results indicate that at a constant nozzle diameter, increasing the Reynolds number leads to a larger hydraulic jump radius, especially for the 2.5 mm nozzle. Moreover, due to its higher viscosity as a result of a higher fluid flow rate, the ethylene glycol solution exhibited a greater hydraulic jump radius compared to distilled water under the same conditions.
