Abstract
Abstract: Background: Cryptosporidiosis is a significant zoonotic disease and a significant cause of severe diarrhoea in both neonatal animals and children and people with compromised immune systems worldwide. Methods: Databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science for studies between 2015 to 20025 were searched. Results: Successful control of Cryptosporidium protozoan requires a multifaceted approach and attention to detail. In addition to conventional control methods, such as control in ruminant infants through adequate colostrum intake, attention to water and food supply, and control in humans through water quality control, other methods, such as new diagnostic targets, treatment of manure to reduce viability of Cryptosporidium, advances in drug discovery, and vaccines for livestock should be considered. Conclusion: To achieve successful prevention and control of cryptosporidiosis in ruminant neonates, humans, and the environment, we need different approaches. These approaches can be planned and pursued in integrated health
