Abstract
In this paper, radial base Zernike polynomials are used to solve a linear ordinary differential equation of multi-term fractional order. For this purpose, we expand the solution of the equation as unknown function using radial base Zernike polynomials. By using the operational matrices related to the derivative and fractional derivative, the given multi-term fractional order differential equation transformed into an algebraic equation. Then, using the collocation technique, the obtained algebraic equation transformed into a system of linear algebraic equations. By solving this linear algebric system, we obtain the expansion coefficients of the solution function. The proposed algorithm solves the fractional differential equations with non-constant coefficients. Also, the proposed algorithm can be applied to ordinary differential equations with integer order .
