چکیده

This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems, as these research areas are often perceived as interconnected in scientific literature. While the utilization of artificial intelligence in modeling complex systems shows promise, a thorough analysis of the current research landscape is still required. Through bibliometric analysis, the paper aims to identify key trends, influential authors, and impactful publications at the intersection of artificial intelligence and complex systems. Additionally, the analysis will illuminate collaboration networks and the interdisciplinary nature of research in this area. The study seeks to enhance understanding of the present research status and potential future directions in these interconnected fields, utilizing papers, authors, and journals from the Scopus database. A total of 2145 publications published between 2000 and 2025 related to Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems were considered. VOSviewer software was utilized for visualizing the bibliographic material. These findings offer valuable insights into trends and potential research avenues for future investigations in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Complex Systems research. The analysis revealed a growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence techniques to model and understand complex systems. Key trends identified a shift towards machine learning, neural networks, and agent-based modeling as dominant methodologies within this intersection. Furthermore, influential authors and collaborative networks were identified, showcasing the interdisciplinary nature of research in this area. The findings suggest a need for further exploration of hybrid AI and complex systems approaches, as well as the potential for cross-disciplinary collaborations to drive future advancements. This comprehensive analysis provides a roadmap for researchers and practitioners to navigate the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and complex systems, offering valuable insights and directions for future investigations.
