Abstract
The d. of liq. alkali metals in the extended ranges of temp. and pressure was calcd. using a new equation of state (EoS) in view of nuclear reactor application. A wide comparison with exptl. data was made. The equation of state reproduces the exptl. PVT data of liq. alkali metals within exptl. errors throughout the liq. phase. The thermodn. properties such as isobaric expansion coeff., isothermal compressibility, and internal pressure have been calcd. for these liqs. using this EoS and compared with the corresponding exptl. results. The generally excellent agreement with exptl. data indicates that this EoS can be used to calc. the thermodn. properties of liq. alkali metals with a high degree of certainty.
