Although in past half century to be current severely use of chemical drugs but speedly harmful effects in humans live cause to become again tendency to medicine plants. Nigella sativa L. (Black cumin) belongs to the Ranunculaceae family, this plant a native herb of the eastern Mediterranean region has been used for centuries in a variety of food as well as medicinal formulations. This plant effects for relief of cold cough, bust less, respiratory discomfort, diarrhea, jaundice, spleen discomfort. Due to attention to importance of this medicine plant We are studied the effect of organic manure and nitrogen fertilizers on yield, essence and extract of black cumin a field experiment was conducted in year 2009 in the Azad University of Bojnourd. The experiment was done as completely randomized block design with 4 replications. Organic manure fertilizer were cattle manure in 2 levels (15 and 30 ton/ha) and nitrogen fertilizer in 3 levels (30, 60 and 90 kg/ha). The essential oil of it was obtained by hydro-distillation in 8 hours. The extract of black cumin obtains by soxhelt method with n-hexane solvent, and then it concentrates using Rotary Vacuum evaporation at low temperature. The results showed that cattle manure and nitrogen fertilizers effects were significant on yield, essence and extract. The cattle manure increased of grain yield, essence and extract percentage as highest grain yield and essence percentage obtained by 30 ton/ha cattle manure that highest essence percentage obtained 0.37% by 30 ton/ha cattle manure. The highest extract percentage obtained by 15 ton/ha cattle manure. Grain yield, essence and extract in cattle manure fertilizer treatments excess as compared with nitrogen fertilizer treatments.
