InductionhardeningtechniquewasusedtoproducedifferentcasedepthsonnineAISI1045steelrods. Determiningtheoptimumfrequencyforeachdepthbelowthesurface,relationsbetweeneddycurrent outputs(primaryandsecondaryvoltagesandnormalizedimpedance)andhardnessateachspecific depth wereinvestigated.Finally,thehardnessvaluesforeachdepthwiththeoptimumeddycurrent outputweredeterminedandhardnessprofileswereplottednondestructively.Comparisonsweremade with destructivehardnessresults
