Abstract

To investigate effect of three soilless media on growth and development of two types of lilium (Asiatic and Oriental hybrids, cultivars of \'Gironde\' and \'Cassandra\' respectively), a factorial experiment with completely randomized design with three replicate were conducted. The media were 100% cocopeat, 50% gravel+ 50% sand and 40% peat+ 60% perlite. Number of leaves, plant height, number of flowers, flower diameter, time of flowering, flower vase life and leaf chlorophyll content traits were measured. Results showed that there were significant difference between two types in term of number of leaves, plant height, time of flowering and flower vase life. In general, the media of 40% peat+60% perlite was superior compare with two other media in all measured traits. Interaction effects between lilium type and media were not significant in measured traits.
