Abstract

The inhibitory effects of two essential oils (rosemarinus officinalis and cupressus arizonica) against Rhizopus stolinefera were tested at different concentrations (0 as control, 0.125, 0.25, 0.375 and 0.5 %) under in-vitro conditions. Results showed that all treatments had significant effects on Rhizopus stolinefera control. Increasing in essential oil levels had more inhibitory effects. Rosemary oil exhibited a higher degree of inhibition 100% at 0.5 %. Cupressus oil exhibited a lower degree of inhibition, especially at 0.125 % (56 %). The control (0) medium completely filled with the organism.
