Abstract
In this paper, we consider the problem of estimating the stress-strength parameter P(X<Y), when the availalbe data has the form of type-II censored. Also, suppose that X-sample and Y-sample are independent and generated from the proportional hazard rate models. Uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator (UMVUE), and exact confidence interval for the parameter of interest are derived.
