Abstract
A novel method for preparation of very small ZnS NPs with high purity and good uniformity using ultrasonic waves was described. The optical band gap energy of ZnS NPs was calculated using UV-vis spectroscopy. The band gap of ZnS NPs estimated from the absorption peaks is much larger than that of bulk ZnS due to the quantum confinement effect.
