The purpose of this study was, influence of Modeling, internal mental imagery and a combination methods on acquisition and retention of throwing darts motor skill. 49 male students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad who have achieved the highest score of imagery ability questionnaire, participated in this study, subjects randomly assigned in four groups, modeling (n = 13), imagery, combination and control {n = 12), were included, participants in the pre-test carried out 10 throwing darts. After 48 hours, delayed retention test conducted. For data analysis Klomogrov - Smirnov, Leven, Independent-Samples T Test, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal - Wallis one-way ANOVA analysis, tests was used. The results indicated that participants Score of internal mental imagery group in acquisition phase (mean = 7.09) and retention (mean = 8.17) was better than other groups, also The mean difference between Darts groups Score in the acquisition and retention were not significant (05/OP>). Total results was representative superior of internal mental imagery method than other groups in the acquisition and retention.
