Abstract
Four novel amino acid (L-Isoleucine (Liso) and L-cysteine (Lcys)) polyoxometalate (H4PMo12O40·xH2O andH4PW12O40·xH2O) nanotubes are successfully synthesized by solid-state chemical reaction method at room temperature. Infrared spectroscopy and XRD analysis results prove that the samples possess still Keggin type structure. Transition electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are shown that the samples have nanotube structures with diameter about 40-200 nm and length of up to several micrometers. Among various types of nanobuilding blocks, polyoxometalates (POMs) are a class of metal oxide nanoclusters that offer rich structural versatility and enormous applications [1-10].
