Abstract

Let the random variables X and Y denote the lifetimes of two systems. In reliability analysis of stress strength relationships we wants to evaluation the probability one fails before the other. In this note, we concentrate on Rr,k= P(Xr:n1< Yk:n2) where Xr:n1and Yk:n2are the rth and kth, respectively, order components lifetime which enables to obtain, the probability that the lifetime Yk:n2is greater than the lifetime Xr:n1. In this article for two special cases the estimation of Rr,k based on samples from X and Y also discussed.
