Abstract
Abstract: In this research ,we study the structural and magnetic properties of Co with x=0.3,0.5,0.7.Samples were prepared from salt aqueous solutions with respective stoichiometry in an alkaline medium by co-precipitation method. The powder samples were characterized by XRD, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). XRD analysis showed that the samples were in single-phase and in Fd3m space group and cubic spinel structure. With the increase in zinc substitution, particle size and lattice constant were found to decrease and increase, respectively. Magnetic studies indicated that nanoparticles are superparamagnetic in room temperature. Magnetic properties such as saturation magnetization, coercivity and remanence magnetization decrease with the increase in zinc substitution.
