Title : ( Next-to-next-to-leading order calculation of the strong coupling constant αs by using moments of event-shape variables )

We compute the Next-to-Next-to- Leading order (NNLO) QCD correction to the first three moment of four event shape variables in electron-positron annihilation; the Thrust, Heavy jet Mass , Wide ,and Total jet Broadening. We observe that NNLO correction yields a better agreement between the theory and the experimental data. Also, by using the above observables, we determine strong coupling constant (α_s) and demonstrate how much its value is affected by NNLO correction. By combining the results for all variables and for different center-of-mass energies, we find α_s(M_(z^0 )) = 0.1248+ ̅0.0009 (exp.) ■(+0.0282@-0.0143) (theo.).
