Abstract
A study was conducted on microalgae strain Chlorella sp isolated from wastewater to check its growth behavior under different CO2 concentrations. For the growth study, CO2 concentrations in the range of 2, 6, and 10% (16, 48, and 80 cm3/min) were selected. The results showed that optimum level of CO2 concentration was essential for growing the microalgae, as it influenced the biomass and lipid productivities. When CO2 gas was supplied at 6% concentration, maximum growth and maximum biomass and lipid productivities were observed.
