Apratylenchoides belli and Apratylenchoides homoglans, the species belonging to the rare genus are reported from Iran for the first time. The morphological and morphometric characters of Iranian populations of the two species are discussed and illustrated. Iranian population of A. belli is characterised by having a 500–610 μm long body, stylet length of 16.2–18 μm, lateral field with four incisures, 22.14–28.4 μm long post-vulval uterine sac and a tail length of 23.2–28.4 μm. Compared to the morphological characters and morphometric data given in original description, there were no differences between both the populations. The Iranian population of A. homoglans is morphologically and morphometrically similar to the original population and the minor difference observed on the range of post-vulval uterine sac (20–33 vs. 30–45 μm) could be explained by differences in geographically distributed regions. It is characterised as having a body length of 522–641 μm, stylet length of 14.5–15 μm, 19–22 μm body width at mid body, 20–33 μm long post-vulval uterine sac and tail length 26–32 μm.
